Our story

Why we started CureSpy.

When I was 14, a firework accident left me blind. After several doctors in Lithuania said nothing more could be done, my family helped me find leading specialists in London. Their treatment restored part of my sight.

That is why I can call myself a low-vision entrepreneur today—not a blind entrepreneur.

But not everyone knows the right people or where to look for answers. We created CureSpy to change that. Our long-term vision is to build one platform where millions of people can access information about top-tier specialists, clinical trials, breakthrough treatments, and the latest innovations for their condition—wherever they are in the world.

What CureSpy does, where its information comes from, and what it cannot replace.

Is CureSpy medical advice?

No. CureSpy helps you follow clinical trials and published research related to topics you choose. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Where does CureSpy get its information?

From official government medical registries — the public records where research centres around the world register their clinical studies and publish what they find. They are checked every day, and every update links back to the exact record it came from, so you can read the source yourself.

Why can I understand the studies on CureSpy?

Because each one is explained in plain language. Study records are written for researchers, so CureSpy uses AI to summarise what a study is for, who it is about and what has changed, in words anyone can follow. The summary never adds anything the record does not say, and the original record is always one link away.

What kinds of updates will I receive?

New clinical trials, newly published papers, results being posted, phase changes, recruitment changes, and studies completing or stopping early. Each one names the study it belongs to and links to the source.

Will I be notified about every minor change?

No. Most of what changes in a study record is administrative — a contact detail, a wording correction, a date being tidied up. CureSpy scores every change it finds and only emails you about the ones that matter.

Can CureSpy tell me whether I qualify for a clinical trial?

No. A study's rules on who can join are summarised in plain words on its page, but whether you can actually take part depends on your diagnosis, your treatment history, your test results and where you live — and only the study team or your doctor can answer that.

Can I view the original research?

Yes. Every development links straight to the registry record or the published paper it came from, so you can read the source yourself or take it to your doctor.

How often will CureSpy email me?

About once a week, and only when something has happened. One email gathers everything that moved for the conditions and studies you follow since the last one, most important first; the dashboard has the rest. How much that is depends on the condition: one under active research can produce news most weeks, while a quieter one may be silent for a long stretch.
